			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><img class="alignleft size-medium wp-image-61" title="ethos" src="http://fbcdavison.org/blog/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/Slide2-300x225.jpg" alt="ethos" width="231" height="165" />The word &#8220;Ethos&#8221; has been trending in my head lately.  Ethos is defined as the fundamental spirit of a culture&#8230;the underlying sentiment that informs beliefs, customs, and practices of a group.  The Greeks saw &#8220;Ethos&#8221;  as the &#8220;character&#8221; that drove a community&#8217;s beliefs or ideals.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s true that I live inside/out.  I live out of my core whether I want to admit it or not.  It&#8217;s the same for any community.  We all live out of our collective cores, so to speak.  So, I think it&#8217;s pretty important for me as a leader of a &#8220;community&#8221; to figure out what &#8220;the spirit of our culture&#8221; is or what &#8220;character&#8221; ought to inform FBC&#8217;S ideals.</p>
<p>Sounds like we need to sort this one out&#8230;</p>
