What is IGNITE?
"We exist to create environments that IGNITE passion in people to follow Jesus" - this is the first of four statements outlining the vision God has given to FBC, and we believe our corporate worship experience are a catalyst for moving the heart and life of people into a passionate pursuit of following Jesus. Music, in particular, has a way of moving and softening the heart and soul, and moves us into deep and passionate worship of God.
What should I expect?
We have two dynamic worship environments that meet at 9 am and 11 am. Each worship experience offers the same solid Biblical preaching & teaching, each service uses multimedia, and each service offers a loving community of Jesus followers. However, each service is also unique in how we worship God together through the Arts.
At the 9 am experience you can expect...
- an adult choir
- worship accompanied by a piano & organ (and they can jam!)
- authentic worship using a mix of hymns and praise choruses
At the 11 am experience you can expect...
- worship led by a rockin' live band (we like it loud!)
- authentic worship using an eclectic mix of worship and praise music (but we're not afraid sing a hymn or two, either)
If you have interest in getting involved in Worship Arts, please contact the office at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We’re so excited that you've surrendered your life to Jesus... but what's next? Baptism!
Baptism is important for a number of reasons. One reason is that it illustrates Christ's burial and resurrection (1 Cor. 15:3-4; Col. 2:12). It also illustrates our new life as a follower of Jesus Christ (2 Cor. 5:17; Rom. 6:4; Eph. 2:8-9). It's important to note that baptism doesn't make you a believer in Jesus, nor does it save us. Baptism is our pubic expression, or outward symbol (like a wedding ring), that expresses the commitment you've made to surrender your life to Jesus Christ.
Lastly, we’re taught in God’s word that when we become followers of Jesus, we get baptized (Acts 2:41; 8:38-39). We are also commanded by God to make disciples and baptize them (Matthew 28:19-20).
If you are interested in Baptism, please launch the form below, fill it out, and we will contact you with further instructions.
"We exist to create environments that IGNITE passion in people to follow Jesus." This is the first of four statements outlining the vision God has given FBC. Ignite Communities serve as a catalyst to help us fulfill this aspect of our vision.
What is an Ignite Community? IC's are not a meeting in which you attend; rather they are a community to which you belong. In the IC environment, you will experience what it looks like to follow Jesus in the everydayness of life. Each Ignite Community can expect weekly Family Gatherings and monthly Missional Engagement opportunities where we demonstrate the Gospel through service.
