  • grief share

[TUESDAYS FROM 6-8PM: NEXT SESSION TO BE ANNOUNCED]
Grief Share Community Groups meet weekly to help you face the challenges of losing someone close to you and move toward rebuilding your life. Each Grief Share session has three distinct elements...

    1. A Seminar with Experts
Each week your Grief Share group will watch a video seminar featuring top experts on grief and recovery subjects. These videos are produced in an interesting-to-watch television magazine format featuring expert interviews, real-life case studies, dramatic reenactments and on-location video.
    2. A Support Group with Focus
After viewing the video, you and the other group members will spend time as a support group, discussing what was presented in that week’s video seminar and what is going on in your lives.
    3. Workbook Based Study and Personal Reflection
During the week you will have the opportunity to use your workbook for further personal study of the grieving process and to help sort out your emotions through journaling. Your group will spend time discussing questions and comments from the workbook study.

Click here to view the schedule

The Out to Lunch Bunch Hiking Club meets every Wednesday & Saturday morning across from FBC at the east end of the Davison Library parking lot – we leave promptly at 8:45 am.  We carpool to the trail head, hike and then make a stop for lunch – returning to the church around 1 pm. The hikes are approximately 5 miles and vary in difficulty. Please wear appropriate footwear and clothing. You are encouraged to bring your own water and a small snack (apple, snack bar, trail mix). A $1 donation is collected per hike for a college scholarship fund.  Hikes are open to everyone, but please be attentive when deciding on the level of difficulty of a hike for you – know that ice and snow will always add an additional level to the hike. We welcome you to join us for conversation, exercise and enjoying God’s splendid nature.

  • CARD CLUB

[FIRST THURSDAY OF EVERY MONTH 1-3PM]

If you want to show your expertise and have fun, come join us!  We have different tables set up to play Euchre, Cribbage, and the popular game, Manipulation. Come with new suggestions or bring friends that would like to play games like Hearts, Canasta, or Pinochle. Refreshments are furnished. It’s a great way to meet new friends as well as have a good time of fellowship.
