BAPTISM

We’re so excited that you've surrendered your life to Jesus... but what's next? Baptism!

Baptism is important for a number of reasons. One reason is that it illustrates Christ's burial and resurrection (1 Cor. 15:3-4; Col. 2:12). It also illustrates our new life as a follower of Jesus Christ (2 Cor. 5:17; Rom. 6:4; Eph. 2:8-9). It's important to note that baptism doesn't make you a believer in Jesus, nor does it save us. Baptism is our pubic expression, or outward symbol (like a wedding ring), that expresses the commitment you've made to surrender your life to Jesus Christ.

Lastly, we’re taught in God’s word that when we become followers of Jesus, we get baptized (Acts 2:41; 8:38-39). We are also commanded by God to make disciples and baptize them (Matthew 28:19-20).
